Alta Equipment Company 3rd annual golf outing
WEST CHICAGO, IL -- On Thursday, June 16th Alta Equipment Company, with the support of its vendors, and customers held its 3rd annual golf outing at Prairie Landing Golf Club in West Chicago, Illinois.
The event was a celebration of Alta’s success in Illinois and Northern Indiana and an opportunity to thank the customers who’ve made it possible. “We wouldn’t have had our rapid success in the Chicago region, if it wasn’t for the Alta culture and the support of our customers. We’re new to the area, but not to the industry. Alta has been in the business for decades and understands earning credibility takes time. Were so thankful to those who have given us the opportunity to prove how well we can support their business,” said Ed Powers, Regional Vice President of Alta Equipment Company.
Everyone enjoyed a great day of golf, but the best part was surely the conversations taking place between holes and during the pre and post events. Construction professionals in attendance were able to meet and share ideas with industry experts, manufacturer representatives and engineers behind the equipment they use in the field every day. “For us this is the next best thing to getting out on jobsites and speaking with the customers there, but there is also something about the relaxed atmosphere of an outing that allows for different things to come up.” Said Adam Daher of Avant.
The atmosphere received a boost from advertising partner ESPN Chicago 1000 who broadcasted their #1-rated sports talk radio show, Carmen & Jurko live from the Alta Event. They even brought a street team who spent the afternoon giving away prizes and mixing it up with Alta guests. Following the golf outing a dinner reception was held and prizes were awarded to winners of Longest Drive, Longest Putt, Closest to the Pin, and Lowest Team Score.
By all metrics the event was a huge success, and it would not have been possible without our customers and OEDM partners.

Preceding the event was an evening reception held at the Copper Fox in Geneva, IL honoring the winner of the 2022 Alta Guiding Principles Award, Ron Anderson, Regional Safety, Trainer, Fleet Manager.
Annually, each of Alta Equipment’s four regions nominates a person who exemplifies Alta’s 5 Guiding Principles. In each region over 100 people are nominated for the award. With the award going to the most nominations. In honoring his award, Ron was joined (from left) by Alta Regional Vice President – Ed Powers, President – Gianni Campo, Sales Manager – Jim Proctor, his Wife Tammi , Vice President Rental Operations – Aaron Dorgan, Vice President of Used Equipment – Bob Leavy, Director of Demolition and Material Handling – Bruce Davis, and Regional Director of Product Support – Chris Baima.
