Product Spotlight: Kubota R630 Wheel Loader (Video)

Orange Crush! The R630 is the one you want when your lift is low to the ground!

KUBOTA R630: THE SINKER-BALL HITTER OF WHEEL LOADERS! Here’s the superpower of the Kubota R630: the hybrid link system combines the advantages of both Z link and Parallel link systems, so you get strong bucket force when excavating and grading, and an exceptional vertical lift path for superior reach and lifting. If you have a fully loaded pallet with the pallet fork, the R630 keeps the load upright and steady, even while raising or lowering the lift arms.

ARTICULATING AND OSCILLATING FRAME The Kubota R630 is also ready for heavy terrain. 40 degrees of articulation allows the rear tires to follow the same track path as the front tires for greater maneuverability and control of the loader. Rear frame oscillation (8 degrees, plus or minus) is intentionally chosen over rear-axle oscillation for superior workability in uneven ground conditions. That means it’s easier to handle, faster to get the job done, even when the surface gets a little “extra” terrestrial. This big machine is also agile: at 5’11” wide (without bucket); 17′ long; and a 6″7″ wheelbase — it’s turning radius is only 11’4″ — and the loader clearance circle is 27′ 3″. That’s what 40 degrees of articulation is all about!

LOW CLEARANCE, LONG REACH With a clearance height of just 8.2 feet, the R630 can make its way under low-hanging branches, eaves, and other tight spaces. It can also make its way between jobs (and do work) under low bridges. Get out from under that bridge, and a long dumping reach and high dumping clearance (8’3″) lets you dump into truck beds with ease, and dramatically reduces travel and positioning time for pallet fork work.

THE STRONG, SILENT TYPE At the heart of that striking ORANGE frame beats a Kubota-built 61.2 HP diesel engine. It’s fitted with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) muffler, so it complies with Tier IV regulations for exhaust emissions. There are some major bonuses too: low noise, low vibration, and low fuel consumption.

KEY ITEM! THE ELECTRONIC HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION Sounds straight out of Star Wars, but the HST is as real as it gets. Loader work is much smoother and more efficient, because you have four operating modes, each optimized to handle specific situations:

  • Normal Mode Normal mode lets you quickly start loading, carrying, collecting sand/gravel, and performing other jobs.

  • Power Mode Is for piling, excavating, and other jobs that require extra traction force. Power mode increases traction force by 40%. Breakout force on this beast is 10,415 pounds. And that lifting capacity at ground level we told you about? 8505 lbs. That’s some sweet swingin’ on the lowball there!

  • Eco Mode Eco mode optimizes fuel use, and improves efficiency by 10 -15%, letting you work longer between fill-ups.

  • Attachment Mode This is the one to use when you’re working with a sweeper, mower, or any one of dozens of attachments that make the R630 such a workhorse. It enables you to set and maintain a precise attachment speed by using the engine speed (AUX flow) control dial, which operates independent of travel speed.

TIDINGS OF COMFORT AND JOY… The spacious, big-windowed cab provides p-l-e-n-t-y of room, and all the controls are ergonomically arranged for easy, no-surprises access. A/C is an option that will keep your operators working comfortably when the sun is really doing its thing.  The JOY? That’s in the stick: a multi-function operating lever that puts all major loader functions in control with just one hand. Owners and service personnel also rejoice, because the R630 has a truly large rear hood for easy engine access. The engine bonnet at the rear opens wide and easy, and provides ready access to all of the machine’s main service areas.

COME BY AND CHECK IT OUT! We have a nice walk-around video for this machine but you can’t really appreciate just how great that DEEP ORANGE color looks unless you see this baby in person.  So please do stop by or call any Martin Implement location and tell the folks you want to test drive a Kubota R630 with the ELECTRONIC HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION. We’ll know you mean business!!
